Bonnie Pate
Bonnie Pate has been the Executive Director of SC SHARE since July 1, 1998.
SC SHARE is the only statewide consumer run non-profit organization of its kind in South Carolina. The organization is open to anyone who has a mental illness or co-occurring substance abuse problem.
Ms. Pate brought her vision of providing peer support and consumer education which led to the development of SC SHARE's signature program "Recovery for Life, Helping People Help Themselves" I and II and the Recovery Planner.
Bonnie is a board member of NAMHPAC, State Planning Council, COSIG Advisory Board and is the Client representative for Dr. Kathleen Brady's (MUSC) Southern Consortium of the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network project. As a founding members of SC Faces and Voices of Recovery, a new advocacy organization for persons with substance abuse, she serves as the current Chair. She was recently awarded the SC Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (SCAADAC) Professional of the Year.
