I am interested in knowing whatStates are doing to address the issue of the criminalization of mental illness. We know that there are too many people with mental health problems in prisons and jails. Are there any efforts underway in your state to address this? Are there any diversion programs, police officer training, mental health courts or other efforts? What role is your planning council playing in these efforts?
