Vicki,this addresses one aspect of your issue. Our Medicaid system (Arkansas) regularly gets recognition from the Feds for their electronic claims system. It has been managed for many years through a contract with Electronic Data Systems (EDS) out of Texas. They give providers the software allowing them to check eligibility and process claims electronically. In our program, we have little problem with timely reimbursement due to this system. And when there are mistakes, we quickly hear back electronically and can respond with needed information.
