I did speak to the planning council about this subject and it was agreed that this is a problem however, one of the leaders said it need to come from an advocate group. I believe the panning council is one of the main areas that could do some good.
Idaho's such a conservative state that they are in the process of trimming budgets across the board ( usually first is mental health) and it it frustrating trying to get something passed.
Boise has a co-op mental health care that several psychiatrists, psychologist, MSWs, give a certain block of time to see patients and they do the collecting of medicaid orindigent funds for payments that are due.
Some will take some patients into their private practice, but, they usually have medicaid/medicare coverage.
